Welcome to the heart of Korean BBQ — your very own table grill! Here’s how to make the most of it:
• Let it Heat Up
Give the grill a minute to warm up before you start cooking. Sizzle is the sound of good things coming!
• Oil the Grill with Beef Fat
Once hot, rub the grill with beef fat (we provide it!). This helps prevent sticking and adds extra flavor to your meat.
• Grill Plain Meats First
Start with non-marinated meats, then move on to marinated ones. This keeps the grill cleaner and flavors more balanced.
• Take Your Time with Marinated Meats
Marinated cuts tend to burn faster because of the sugars in the sauce. Grill them on medium heat and be patient — slow and steady wins the flavor!
• Flip, Don’t Smash
Use your tongs to gently flip the meat. No need to press — let the flavor stay inside!
• Too Much Smoke? No Worries!
Our team is happy to swap your grill plate anytime. Just wave us down!
• Keep it Clean

About This Fantastic Asian Restaurant

We moved to Salisbury Maryland in
2014. We started building our first family-owned business, Koto Japanese Steakhouse. We started building it the same year we moved here. This was a family-owned business made to create job opportunities for people who live here. We then took over Manna in April 2018 which helped us get the funds for Kaiju. We built Kaiju which was a Sushi and Ramen bar restaurant in 2021 at Berlin Maryland. Now we are opening a third restaurant which is a BBQ and Sushi Bar restaurant, Smoking Monster! Join us at Smoking Monster unique BBQ and sushi fusion! and embark on a road filled with flavor, you will be provided with delicious fresh Asian food you’ll put over the fire! we will look forward to serving you!
